Rex WOODMORE Australian Visual Artist (Flora & Fauna Paintings).

In my art I attempt to capture the essence of Australia in all its diverse splendour, but the works of a mere mortal pale into insignificance when compared to the awesome wonders of God’s creation. I use high pigment acrylics finished in acrylic gloss, on quality stretched canvas or art board. Most of my work is of flora and fauna - Australian wildflowers, Kangaroos, Parrots, Cockatoos and Australia native trees. When I was a boy I lived in the midst of the Western Australian Jarrah forest, surrounded by trees. I have been a licensed collector of Australian tree seeds & I have professionally propagated, planted & grown thousands of trees. Until my retirement in 2009 the last 20 years or so were in the horticultural/floricultural and Environmental (Re-vegetation). So it should be no surprise that trees are the main subject matter in many of my paintings and I guess my name ‘’WOODmore’’ says it all.
